The
Bottoms Up Blues Gang is St. Louis' Acoustic Blues Trio featuring vocalist
Kari Liston, guitarist Jeremy Segel-Moss and Adam Andrews on harmonica.
The BUBG play a unique blend of originals and covers in the styles of
Delta Blues, R & B, Soul, Jazz, and Blues influenced Rock &
Roll.
In the last five years The Bottoms Up Blues Gang has averaged 275 shows a year, released 3 albums, been awarded the People’s Choice Award for Acoustic Blues at the 2006 St. Louis Music Awards, and shared a bill with Chuck Berry, Robert Earl Keen, Bennie Smith, Debbie Davies, Kenny Wayne Shepard, Mofro, Parliament Funkadelic, as well as a host of St. Louis talent.
For a trio, The Bottoms Up Blues Gang has a big sound. Kari’s powerfully sultry voice rings with soul intention. Adam’s tone and sometimes-ferocious feeling compliments Kari’s vintage sound and stands out as a voice all his own. All the while Jeremy holds down the groove – covering bass lines and melody on his acoustic guitar.
The Bottoms Up Blues Gang is especially conscious about the importance of continuing the tradition of St. Louis music while trying to define a unique style of their own. Some of the musicians who frequent the BUBG stage include Adam Andrews, John Erblich, Matt Murdick, Eric McSpadden, Sharon Foehner and many more. |
